Thanks for the video I was up all night and was having trouble assigning ip's and with the help from this video I got my router connected finally after many hours trying to figure out why lan wouldn't work. Now it works but there is a speed issue for 2.5 gig its only 500mbs and it should be 1.5 gig. That I am working on I am not yet connected to the main 10 gig port on my network hub but through my router for setup firstly.

wow that was useful, like every other video on pfsense on youtube, skipped over how to actually set up to get to the web and moved on after it was all set up off screen. Could try the 2000 page + manual. But no I think I will keep my life and stick to using hardware firewalls like Sonic and Watch Guard that actually make it a reasonable learning curve to access the internet after set up.

Hey, quick question for you. I installed pfsense via virtualbox on my windows 10 laptop and changed my lan and wan IP address but I’m unable to access the web interface using my lan or my wan IP addresses. Really need help with this.

How come you put your VLAN on the WAN interface and not the LAN interface?

Hi. What version of pfsense are you using? I just installed 2.6.0. I noticed that it didn't ask me to set up vlan. Also on the boot screen it did not say what my Wan address is
Did I somehow botch it, or am I missing something or is that something that I can do on the gui?.
