How do I get an official dyslexia diagnosis?

These are the first things you should know when deciding that you want to get an official dyslexia diagnosis. You should keep in mind that you might be able to get funding. That way, you do not have to pay for it all by yourself. Another thing I think you should know is that dyslexics often have a combination of different learning differences. For example, dyslexia and ADHD or Dyslexia and dyscalculia.

These people normally diagnose dyslexia:
- Educational psychologist
- Qualified and specialist dyslexia teacher
- School psychologist

Starting at $1, 000 just to tell me I have issues??? That's so unfair

Isn't it crazy how much the cost of a diagnosis varies?

I got tested in 5th grade for free, had to get retested at 26 because of an exam i needed aid on, also for free. I'm so incredibly sorry for the ones who can't afford it where you have to pay.
My dyslexia has gotten more severe over the years (probably because of the lack of repeated studying, out of school by 18) and if I didn't get aid on my last exam I wouldn't have made it.. I read almost every question wrong.

Hello. So my brother since he was ten he has had difficulty studying and he cant seem to remember letters and those sounds of the letters, etc. He never got diagnosed because he was told hes fine and just need to try harder. We are from another country but we did move to the usa and my brother has a test he needs to pass but hes been trying for the past 3 months and he cant seem to remember/learn anything! Hes 24 currently and should he go get tested for dyslexia or is it too late?

Thank you!
