I don't usually comment on YouTube videos but I'm really grateful to this man and his YouTube channel. I recently received my IELTS results and based on his strategies I got 8 in the reading test and 8.5 in the listening with just one month of preparation (just watching his videos, free courses on his page and all the material in it). I also did the practice tests from the Cambridge books which are very precise regarding the difficulty of the real test, what this man does is just awesome. I am a candidate from Sri Lanka who faced IELTS academics last time. I had nearly 3 weeks only for proper preparation (yet excluding weekends) and achieved an overall 8 (Reading 8.5, Listening 8, Speaking 7, and writing 7.5). Here are my tips and hope this might be useful to someone. I had no time to find a personal tutor but I did all tests in the last four Cambridge books. IELTS Writing Task 2 Samples by Rachel Mitchell was another useful book I referred to apart from Cambridge. The biggest guide was youtube channels and I watched a few selected channels (about 5) for each component. in my first week my listening marks were started around 26, but my daily practice brought it up to an average of 30 in the next week and around 36 by the last week prior exam. In my opinion, it is not just the language only, you need good practice to achieve higher band. Practice daily, you will reach your goal.
