A former Calvinistic Reformed Baptist minister and now Director of Apologetics and Professor of Theology, recounts his theological journey in and out of Calvinism. In so doing, Dr. Flowers’ sets out to help his readers understand a non-Calvinistic “Traditional” Southern Baptist interpretation of the most quoted and relied upon chapters for defending Calvinistic soteriology: Romans 8-9; Ephesians 1 and John 6. "In The Potter’s Promise, Dr. Leighton Flowers reveals, by means of a refreshingly clear and persuasive writing style, the theological and philosophical arguments that compelled him to abandon his previously held Calvinistic convictions. While some Traditionalists have a tendency to avoid certain Bible verses, Dr. Flowers tackles them fearlessly, placing them in their proper context in a manner consistent with the entirety of God’s Word. Calvinists have sometimes been known to object to Traditional writers and thinkers by making the claim, “You just don’t understand Ca

"Calvinism is just another name for Biblical theology". I only believe Calvinism is the most accurate and correct theology because it is the ONLY system that does not contradict Scripture in any way whatsoever. Only in Calvinism can every single thing God has said ring true without error or contradiction. I wasnt raised that way, but after years of study, it is the only way.

Alana was many years a staunch Calvanist in the order of High Priest John MacAurther, simple being challenged to read the Bible for what it says IN context saved her out of this cult.
Being in dwelt by the Holy Spirit means nothing to a Calvinist against traditions of men, it's been a hard walk with so many family members walking away from Calvinistic theology and helping them not reject the Word totally, it's a much harder struggle than a Morman rejecting Mormonism, In my life of all the isms Calvanism and even more intense them trapped in Reformed Calvinism have had the hardest struggle leaving their ism.

Leighton "choice meats" Flowers. Doesn't like the fact that White and others have rebuked and corrected him many times. They are not willing to give up their own autonomy and self authority.

One thing Calvinism can answer that Free Will cannot.... what about the people that have never heard of the Gospel? Calvinism can answer this, Free Will cannot.

Thankyou Keith for giving an accurate summation on this vid. It saddens me to hear the constant attacks from Leighton Flowers on the systematic reformed theology of Calvinism. This theological position has been attacked for hundreds of years by biblical scholars who just cannot accept that God does NOT save every person. To them, this cannot be acceptable. God cannot be God, if He does not save every person going to hell.
They therefore say, this must be rejected. Well then, they are rejecting the biblical understanding that people will perish, because of their unbelief. How is it possible that people who reject Christ, can still be saved.
Their emphasis on the word ' whosoever' fails to make any connection to the next word. ' believes'.
Semi-pelagians cannot accept the biblical understanding that salvation of mankind begins and ends with the Sovereignty of God. We do not contribute anything towards our salvation. Roman Catholicism along with other semi-pelagians within evangelical churches believe that good works contribute to salvation. They hate the idea that they cannot contribute SOMETHING to their salvation. This is a work of the 'flesh ' that the apostle Paul consistently wrote against. I noticed in this vid that Alana says when speaking against Calvinism, that it just doesn't FEEL right. Great exegesis!!!!

Thanks for re-uploading. There is a street Evangelist by the name of Daniella who posted a video that she is putting a pause on her ministry to Study the Word of God more in depth, to study Reformed Theology/Calvinism. She said she NOW understands that Salvation is of the Lord, Not man who Wills; that it's like she been born again for the 1st time. Alana posted about Daniella ----"Sucked into Calvinism, the Bible wasnt enough." Sorry Alana, but Daniella's testimony is one of the Best Testimonies I ever Heard! Praise God.!

Those peoples who don’t agree with Calvinism because they trying to interpret the word of God with their own comments sense. God comment us to interpret the words of God by comparing the word of God with the word of God.That’s God comment. That’s why most peoples call themselves Christian don’t Agree with Calvinism doctrine.

Leighton Flowers is the ultimate representative, the GOAT if you will, of why the rich never had the Gospel preached to them. Jesus Christ only preached the Gospel to the poor. Same with Paul and all the Apostles. Never the rich. Never. The rich was preached law and warnings only. That's what the Word of God says.
Leighton Flowers doesn't see the absolute and totally depraved spiritual condition he is in. He is rich. He thinks there's something "good" about himself, that he determines his destiny through his imaginary autonomous free will he worships. Alana and Leighton, both Lovers of Self, refusing to acknowledge their absolute depravity, can not cry out of a pure heart for God's effectual grace, because they don't need it to be ALL of God's effectual grace in their mind. They just needed a little nudging along the way.

Don’t forget that recently Flowers was saying that it was wrong for the SBC to disfellowship open theists. Provisionism is right down the street from open theism.
