Performance: Fluid, but the image quality is too sharp

Quality mode should really have a 30 FPS cap and Balanced a 40 FPS cap.
A 45 FPS cap makes no sense to use on almost *any* modern display and simply guarantees constant frame pacing inconsistency, and having Quality mode uncapped even though it already holds so close to 30 FPS means they're allowing tearing for no real benefit.
Really strange choices for the developer to have made, especially when they already did such a good job of tuning the performance for what clearly should've been a 30 and 40 FPS cap, respectively. 🤔
Using Frame Gen to get Performance mode to 60 was an interesting choice, too. I'm curious how the input latency feels on that mode. Usually, frame genning from 30 up to 60 feels pretty bad in practice, but I've yet to actually see anyone mention it effecting their experience.

They told us about 4k 60fps ps5 (2160p)

But what they are providing is 1440p 30fps

1440p isn't even half the pixels of 4k, and 30 fps is exactly the half of 60fps

Man thanks for this FPS performance video I've been looking all over YouTube. I couldn't find a accurate one due to all the controversy and hype. I might just buy the game now that I see how it performs on performance setting. I see the frames drops mostly during cutscenes it's not too bad. The most important is the gameplay. It did stay mostly 60fps, I wish you'd upload more bigger chaotic fights because I did see a little dips in performance mode but thanks tho.

I can work with 60fps if it was more stable and smooth but the resolution for preformance mode is atrocious and balanced or quality mode is downright unplayable at 30 fps. Its so sad bc the game is so good just performance on PS5 is horrible. Praying the first big update will address this. I even have a PC too but i always get the 3rd person RPG games on console bc i play them with a controller and they usually run very smooth and consistent but with BM Wukong i regret not getting it for PC first

It has to run at 1080p and use frame generation just to hit 60fps that’s actually atrocious that means without it it’s running at 30-40 fps native bro that’s what the ps3 and Xbox 360 were playing at 1080 30fps with sometimes 60

L2+RD is so dead on PS5 performance mode. I haven’t been able to get pass chapter 3 cause of all the freezing and crashing 🤦🏾‍♂️

Playing it rn. It’s not bad. A smoother experience than Jedi survivor. But don’t expect forbidden west graphics. But overall smooth sailing.

I think the people get frustrated with the difficulty of this game. You can tell by the trophies....actually this game looks very good and is very responsive but like i said its not for everyone 🤷‍♂️
