This game is so fucking beautiful, game of the year for me. I couldn’t ask for anything else, besides the minor frame drops, nothing has gone wrong for me and I’m about 3 hours into my run and I adore every part of this game!

Played it for 2 hours last night on PS5. I haven't yet experienced any visual or audio issue, or bugs of any kind, but of course I'm still pretty early in the game. It's hard to imagine that I'll start experiencing the issues people have reported, because everything has been pretty solid so far. Could be that the review copies were on a buggy build. Or... it could be that only the PC version has those issues (we've seen that before). Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Tried all the graphics modes. I found Quality (highest) hard to play, due to the low frame rate. This might be because I've just come off of playing Elden Ring for the past month. However, the visuals on this mode are stunning and remind me of those UE5 tech demos.

Performance mode, while taking a noticable hit in the visuals department, still looks good - if I never saw what this game looked like in Quality mode, I'd be satisfied with this. But since I did, I feel a sense of FOMO playing through the game this way, wondering how much more awesome it would look in Quality mode.

So, I settled for the middle-ground and chose Balanced. Not as pretty as Quality, but has a few bells & whistles while not feeling like I'm playing the game underwater. I've read other people complain that they found this mode just as unplayable as Quality, but I call BS on that because it feels just fine for me.

The game is fun, so far. The complaints about a lack of map is somewhat valid. However, the complaints about invisible walls is even more valid - so much so that I feel like I can do without a map, because there are so many invisible walls, the game doesn't really allow you to stray off of the beaten path - at least in the first areas.


Bosses are not difficult so far. Sure, there's a particular boss I've died to a handful of times, but it wasn't a "how am I even supposed to do this?!" Elden Ring type of situation. It feels more that I'm "underleveled" than it does that he has an overwhelming skillset or attack pattern. For that reason, I forsee that going back and grinding trash mobs to progress down the skill tree is going to be a frequent solution to any difficulty spikes in the game.

The people hating calling the game generic seriously need to lower their standards for games.

Your expectations for games are far too high if you’re disappointed by this, and at this point you might as well quit gaming because you and I both know we not getting games to meet your high standards
