The most harrowing part of this arc is that after all is done and reality is fixed, Batman was so broken from the experience, he was basically catatonic and had the worst PTSD ever imaginable. So Superman, like a real bro, used some super Kryptonian mind powers and absorbed all the trauma and memories so Bruce (Batman) could live a (relatively) normal life.

The beauty of this is the fact that he completely lacks hesitation. Joker wastes only the time he wants to, and not a millisecond more nor less from 'go'. Without a second thought, he knew EXACTLY what he wanted and just fucking went for it. Gotta admire him for that, insanity or no, his ability to be completely ruled by his impulsivity is absolutely incredible considering all that he has managed to accomplish *because* of it and his insanity.
