You know, when it's about Batman and Superman I usually go for Batman thinking that he's invincible and Superman is a crybaby. But this made me like Superman just as muh as Batman. I mean, taking all of Batmans memories, that were by that point possibly eons of being killed and tortured over and over again into his own mind so he could be functional again? Superman is a true friend, dude.

I believe Aquaman mentioned in Aquaman #15 that an Alpha level threat is a threat to the entire planet, but this is not limited to innate power but influence and resources as well. So DC does have a class based power measurement system.
