Med Student's Brain is the scariest combination of Neurology, Psychology, and Jonathan I've ever seen.

Med Student: *inhales dust and sneezes*
Brain: "That is probably the horrible untreatable fatal illness you were just studying."

As a psychology student, I've been studying about sleep disorders while losing sleep

I don't believe we've seen Brain in the Glaucomfleckenverse before! I'm excited to see other professions and see how their brain decides to treat them.

I'm surprised the brain didn't say "You need to practice being a doctor by not getting enough sleep every night"

Thank you Dr Glauc for remembering some terrifying body medicine for us, I know this can’t have been easy

Every exam as a pharmacy student. And then you show up exhausted and stare at questions where you can remember the exact page or slide the information you need is on, but you can’t remember the actual piece of info you’re trying to recall.

Compliment cascade:
- "you look nice."
- "why thank you, so do you."
- "that's very kind of you to say so."
- "it's kind of you to notice!"

As a non Med, THANK YOU to all that stay the course and are there for the rest of us! Turns out I'm not dying, just allergic to everything. ❤

Sometimes I miss university. Then I remember stuff like this and suddenly I am more than happy I don't have to take tests anymore.

I appreciate that you posted this at night for all the med-students who are up taking a healthy, definitely not procrastinating, break from studying

As an epileptic who was 6 years seizure free. Stress based insomnia in college was hell.
I did managed to get my accounting degree though and never had a seizure 👍

Just a reminder for everyone in any highly intense course. Sleep is an important factor to imprint what youve learned to long term memory. If you haven't learned something by the night before an exam, its too late. Sleep and a good breakfast, are the most important preparations you can do in the last 24 hours before a test.

As I am studying for my neurology exam, I can totally relate

Im so glad I'm a math major. Some of our exams involve no memorisation at all.

They're hard as, but I don't have to worry about forgetting anything, I just have to worry about seeing three unsolvable problems when I turn over the paper.

You don't even need to specify medical student here, just student will suffice

What I did in med school was to start out the first two years by deciding that I was going to shoot for learning 80% of the material in each class. This kept my stress level down, I got right around 80 on each exam, and I didn’t sweat the details. In my 28th year of practice now and never regretted omitting that other 20%.
