Powerful and dangerous floods caused major destruction in the village of Chimney Rock near Lake Lure, North Carolina, after heavy rains from the remnants of Hurricane Helene caused the Broad River to burst its banks.

Thoughts and prayers from Pennsylvania 😢 we went zip lining at the gorge a few weeks ago and was told by locals to check out Chimney Rock, so happy that we came to your town. Absolutely loved it there. We went up to the chimney, seen the devils head and came back down and got an ice cream cone and walk around. Such a quaint little town! This is terrible, my heart aches for you and your town.

Wish I could help. A few years ago, when I had employment and a home to live in, I was able to donate some money to their local red cross. I can't even do that any more, having lost my self employment, and currently I am homeless, so I am no help at all.
