Confidence isn’t “I know they’ll like me”, it’s “I’m okay if they don’t”.

The more you deal with your fears, the more confident you become 💯

People often confuse confidence with extroversion or being social. A person does not have to appear confident to others to have confidence in themselves. A shy person can have more inner confidence than a gregarious extrovert, and people cannot be confident always in every situation. If one lacks confidence in a situation, it might just mean your are not comparable with that situation or activity. A man intoxicated on alcohol can appear very confident, but it's not genuine. Confidence without a purpose can lead one into many undesirable situations.

"You can't be what you can't see" - so true.

Confidence is not something you have to achieve, you already have it in you, you just have to know how to use it.

as cliche as this quote can get, it has actually helped me build the confidence I have today. It is "fake it till you make it". Every single time I felt like I wasn't capable of doing something, I pushed myself and forced myself to do it. I faked my confidence when it wasn't really at its best, I gave tips to people on confidence when I myself needed it, but I soon realized that whatever fake confidence I pretended to have, became a reality. It became my way of expressing myself. With joy, confidence, and good posture, it was part of who I am. Now many people including those whom I thought were "close friends" tried so hard to bring me down. Wether it was by pretending to "jokingly" mock something I did ( project, presentation, etc..) or even literally hating me suddenly out of the blue for no apparent reason. But honestly, I never gave importance to that, I kept doing what I was doing because it was best for me.

The problem is that you have to DO something. Some of us are so confused about the existence itself, so much so that we are frozen to action.

WOW, that was awesome! I am seriously working on my confidence because as a battered survivor of child molestation for 5 years, I had completely lost myself and had no willpower or confidence in myself at all. It has been a journey of trial and error, many many mistakes. However, I miraculously found the confidence to start a YouTube channel about my story and my trials... and now I have GAINED the confidence to help others and I am so grateful to be able to do so! <3

I grew up in a community where I was allowed to be confident. Being told that you could and SHOULD be excellent set a foundation in me that I never thought could be shaken. Unfortunately, the last decade in the corporate world attempting to be a leader has stripped me of my confidence. Thank you for sharing this insightful and inspirational message that I can share with the next generation. Hopefully, they will continue to be confident no matter the external factors.

"Curiosity (asking questions) invites people to be in charge of their own learning."
I wish more people understood and applied this, myself included.
At school, at work, at home, in all relationships.

1. Permission - seeing it in others and have others lead by example, that way letting you know it's okay to be confident.

2. Community - the perfect environment to try confidence, again and again. Take a series of actions to develop it.

3. Curiosity - Her manager asked her "What was your intention?" After a failure. Curiosity invites others to be in charge of their own learning when they're already fragile.

I will never forget how difficult my fourth grade year was due to my moms chronic illness. However, my teacher made the all the difference in my confidence and allowed me to grow and blossom. It’s teachers like Ms. Packnett and my fourth grade teacher that change children from unsure to having belief in themselves. Thank you 🙏.
