I been a rhino user for more than years and Mac user my whole life, I can model almost every thing but recently I started on blender to make the race cars modeling so much easier, the zoom in/out and navigation it’s not a problem that can be done with the trackpad just like any other software but changing the view by taping the gizmo it’s been a nightmare, now I know how can I improve my workflow easily, thanks so much

Thank you so much for this! My wheel works fine to zoom in and out but it doesnt work as the 3rd button as it should, it's broken and I only find out bc of blender, now I don't need to buy a new mouse and can go back to practice!

Edit: It doesn't say in the video but to move the viewport camera press Shift + Alt + hold LMB!!

I'm on a Mac. I don't bother with keyboard shortcuts, I just go: pinch to zoom to zoom in or out. loop cuts, two fingers on the trackpad pans around the object, drag two fingers up or down the trackpad after the initial loop is made. easy!

You know I came here thinking the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 would need configuring, but really, the two finger gesture on the trackpad is like a hot knife on butter! I'm trying to figure if I can do a pinch to zoom, but the CONTROL and SHIFT keys wrk just as fine for the zoom and panning. Unless anybody knows how to do pinch to zoom :)

Thank you very much for the work-arounds. The scroll wheel on my mouse suddenly stopped functioning for orbiting my view around my work. The 'emulate 3 button mouse feels clumsy but works. In your future videos please speak more slowly. Your speech is clear but too fast for my ears. Please keep making more Blender tutorials

After enabling emulate 3 button mouse I cannot use alt to select face loops and edge loops.
