I avoided Blender for years cause I was scared about all the things to learn. I've tried so many tutorials and none of them could get me into it. Then I've found your video. For any newbies like me wondering how he got it to come out both sides (12:00) - You have to enable symmetry. It's in the top right corner; the XYZ next to the butterfly-looking symbol

As someone on the verge of throwing the computer out of the window by being unable to figure out Blender sculpting properly, thank you so much!!

Specially as I tend to go "ugh" with 30+ minute videos and skip a lot, since many people aren't able to find a good pace for their tutorials, not repeating themselves a lot, but giving information at an understandable speed. I didn't really feel the need to move forward on the explanations, so that's a great sign!

I might be late to the party here, but this is probably the best beginner tutorial on sculpting I've seen.
The simple fact that this tutorial focuses on the technical side of sculpting and actually shows the tools that are neccessary to get started is incredibly helpful. For some reason, so many tutorials on sculpting only tell us what we're supposed to be doing, without actually telling us how to do it (the old "draw the rest of the owl" problem).
Now that you've shown the tools to get started, I can finally follow the tutorials that focus on the artistic process behind sculpting and learn that. Great tutorial to get started!

I am having tons of trouble with sculpting and every tutorial is just about brushes. This is the first time I have watched something where he talks about it still being hard to get used to and the artistic side of it.
