For the record Mikan wanted the three point shot because it “will give smaller players a chance to score and open up the defense” he specifically wanted more people to have a role / opportunity in basketball so he made a rule that let people with skill sets other than his own carve out a niche. I just think that’s really cool

This is one of the best “what if” NBA videos I’ve ever seen. Bravo

Mikan supporting the 3 point shot is like when a dad tells his kid, "ok, if you shoot it from behind this line, I'll give you an extra point", so the kid thinks he has a chance.

I love this channel. After a good warmup in the gym I’ll sit for a few minutes and watching your videos. My NBA knowledge has dramatically increased for watching you.

George Mikan was also the reason for the shot clock's existance. Teams could and sometimes would stall when they were going against him (not to mention his teams ran very, very slow themselves). So someone suggested the shot clock as a way to force a shot. How they got 24 seconds was dividing the game length by the number of shots they hoped would exist during a game.

It’s insane how it works out that the Heat missed out on the player they wanted but got Dwayne Wade instead, I can’t even imagine the Heat without Wade

This is one of the most well researched, and incredibly well put together videos I have ever watched. Wow. Lost for words. Just simply incredible

Mikan was also involved, in one way or another, in the creation of the shot clock, the widening of the lane from six to twelve feet (it would later be widened again to slow down Wilt Chamberlain), goaltending rules, and the existence of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It's like if Jimmy wouldn't have got Harnia during his college peak time, we wouldn't be watching one of the greatest analyst of all time not only in basketball but all sports combined.

I watch almost all your vids, and thank you. However, this one had me in tears at the end it was so beautiful, about basketball, about life, about being patient when things don't go our way. It's so deep. Makes me think of shooting hoops with dad as a kid. I know I'm not the only one. You have a gift and I'm looking forward to decades more touching/thoughtful vids if you/God willing.

That Levert one I literally stay up at night thinking about. Anyone from Bk or any big Nets fans know about Levert and how good he is. He’s one of my favorite players, and it was so tough losing him. But finding out that it saved his life was dumbfounding to me.
