Exclusive: China 'likely' to invade Taiwan in 2027

Speaking exclusively to Sky News, Taiwan's foreign minister, Joseph Wu, says he thinks it's more likely China will invade Taiwan in 2027.

“To me, 2027 is the year that we need to watch out for,” he said.

His words come at a time when tensions across the Taiwan Strait are at the highest they've been for many years, with China now flying fighter jets towards Taiwanese airspace on a daily basis.

China is in imperialist expansion mode, it has border disputes with over 20 of its neighbors. in almost every case China is refusing to accept rulings of the international court on the disputes. I was curious about its Taiwan claim: China ceded Taiwan to Japan in 1895. The Republic of China took control of Taiwan in 1945, but they were driven out of mainland China by the communists in 1949. So since China legally transferred ownership of Taiwan to Japan, mainland China was the authority in Taiwan for 4 of the last 127 years.
