Taiwan says China's military drills 'simulate' invasion | DW News

Taiwan has accused Beijing of simulating an invasion of the self-governing island as China continued its large-scale military drills.
Taipei says the Chinese army sent several warships and aircraft into the Strait of Taiwan on Saturday. The exercises began after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taipei earlier this week. After imposing unspecified sanctions on the politician, China is also suspending cooperation with the US in several key areas including law enforcement and climate change.

As a neutral observer, i think West has been very cowardly and dishonest on Taiwan issue.
They should either have the guts to recognise the sovereignty of Taiwan. Or they should have the decency to respect the One China Principle, which they have signed.
Playing both sides of Chinese civil war makes you provocators.

DW tried hard to muddle the concept of air defense zone with the territorial air space. Now Taiwan’s territorial space has been breached. In view of the "One China" and the "US don't support Taiwan independence" policy, the US Admn didn't allow Tsai Ing-wen to visit the Congress & the WhiteHouse (when she's in US) ... but now, all of a sudden, the US Admn allowed the House Speaker to pay respect & homage to Tsai Ing-wen in Taiwan .... Why?
I just can't imagine that the world's superpower is so desperate as to have to resort to a self- humiliating act just for the sake of provoking China, to stabilize the region ... and to gain few geopolitical points (at the expense of world peace).
