There was a Vietcong gunner who sat off the end of the runway at Danang. He would shoot at aircraft on departure and final. He would run out of ammunition then start again when he was resupplied. We left him alone because he never hit anyone. He knew that we knew that he knew. Sort of a mutual agreement.
