If America can punish people that didn't even affect America (like helping to set up a UN War Crimes tribunal...) then why shouldn't this soldier be punished?

@RoninShinobi88 We Americans are sicken and outraged at this soldier's slaughter of mostly children -- and very, very angry. Hopefully, he'll be handed over to the Afghan people for them to conduct their own trial. Yes, we're ashamed and angry, but no, we are all not evil.

@kennyufc09 you don't know anything about the incident. There wasn't only one soldier. There were more than 20 soldiers involved in this incident. when writing comments please use better words. your words reflects your personality and humanity

@nodresiak And Grandpa's America was pretty bad: Jim Crow, Wounded Knee, anti-union terrorism, etc.

Just days before Sunday's attack, Kabul and Washington had made significant progress in negotiations on a Strategic Partnership Agreement

@yoire1 I do not hate you and many Americans don't want our military over there. My heart goes out to the families of the victums, we should have already been gone, no matter what happened on 9/11. Believe me when I tell you that not all Americans are fooled and while you and I may not agree on everything, if you seek God through Love and Peace, you are my brother/sister. Hatred only breeds more hatred and now many will hate me just because I was born in America. Some comments don't help.

@skitman1958 "Worthless Shithole"? The Oil Companies seem to disagree with you and if you use Gasoline or Oil, even you disagree.

@ImagesByDavid Crap, your Irish. Sorry about the Brit comment. P.S. I don't condone what that maniac did, but the longer we keep our people there the more this will happen. Time to go.

@ImagesByDavid Look up the Shomali Plain massacres and others. Yes, the Taliban destroyed whole populations in a matter of days. And yes, we had every reason to go after Al Qaeda. What's your point?
