The US army left behind stacks of military equipment - from aircraft to guns – when it left the Afghanistan.

This has added to the haul of weaponry the Taliban has been gathering in recent months, taken from the Afghan army as it retreated.

Now the Taliban are back in power - so what kind of equipment do they now have, and how dangerous could it be?

To put this into context, the 85 billion dollars of military equipment left behind in Afghanistan is bigger than the entire yearly military budget of Russia.

If a plane or tank is not blown up, set on fire or under a mile of water, it can and will be repairable.
They were not even doused in fuel, blown up or anything.
Machinery (such as planes, cars etc) have been documented and proven to be repairable when it looks non repairable.
This was a hand over.

Taliban in the helicopter reminds me the arrival of the Night King on the dragon at the end of season 7 of Game of Thrones 😂

The most important question that still remains unanswered is "Why US Forces left behind their military equipment?" They could have flown out their Helicopters, Humvee and guns. So why didn't they?

Some countries may even pay Taliban to get hold of some of the US military hardware and reverse engineer and find the strength and weaknesses.

The damage done to the aircraft and equipment by the US troops is not different to what the embittered squatters do when evicted.
I suspect some will be repaired by the Chinese and put to use. The others could be used as spares.

What's a point of damaging Aircrafts when Afghan Talibans will just simply hand them over to Pakistan, China and Russia to repair them and to study them. And, those Weapons which are in Uzbekistan and Iran, Afghan Talibans are also in talks with Russia, Central Asia and Iran to return them back.

The UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said “not sure I would worry too much about the Taliban maintaining a fleet of aircraft” as it was “extremely expensive”.
Would one be forgiven into wondering that it's this level of sceptism in underestimating the Taliban that got all the troops into this mess in the first place?? 🤔
