I’m glad you posted this. I did a mix of kicking the weights up but only to my shoulders, then rolling back, and pushing up from the bottom position. Eliminating the kick up all together and just simply rolling back definitely seems way easier and safer.

Also, glad to see the tough guys that “already knew these basics”, were born with complete gym safety, and never had to learn a thing are still alive and well in the comments. 😂

This actually helps a lot, thanks Sean. I usually would just sit down first and then at least try to get them in that tight position with your arms curled to your sides before going down but I didn’t realize you could legit just lay down and it kinda falls into place 💀

Yeah I've almost done this before, and it was the last time I'd ever do it. I always start off with a good warm up weight to get my form right before going heavy. Lifting heavy is neat, but not when it jeopardizes ones well being 👌
