Well done, just what I needed. => To add three ideas, which came to me from watching this fine video explanation, as I played with the know to really learn it: First, I found having four times the diameter of the final jar circumference allowed the two resulting loops to meet about half a diameter above the rip of the jar. The cord wraps twice about the jar, so twice to three times rhetorical final jar circumference barely allows the cord to a rap the jar: suitable if running another cord through the cord “ears” sticking out of the jar’s cord wrapping. Second, if one makes the loop on the end of a line, with perhaps a bowline knot, one can loop the running end through the other and have a jar attached to the cord. Third, if one makes the initial loop with a bowline, one can untie and retie including the untied loop: a stronger way to have a jar attached to the cord and this can be done without access to the end of the running line. => Hope these musings helps someone.
