Seen it before, but your simple explanation and repetition etched it into my mind. Thank you

This is correct that knot is great for everything from tiring up trams to making belts of slings or wrapping up your sleeping bag tight

Best demonstration of this knot available anywhere.

I practiced this knot many times until i memorized it after I first watched this video. I carry a bit of parachord on me at all times and just yesterday had a real need to use it. Used this knot to hold a spring force closing gate open while making a grocery delivery to an apartment complex. Thank you.

This is good knot. A little knowledge go's a long way.

With two decades of using this knot almost exclusively, I can definitely vouch for how handy it is! I never knew the name, but it’s the only knot I remembered from scouts, and it’s been my go-to knot for pretty much everything ever since.

In sailing, it's called a "rolling hitch".
Helpful to take a load off of a fowled line.🤙🏼

YES! This is one of the most useful and easiest knots I’ve ever learned!

I used to know all these knots when I was in sea cadets. That was 30 years ago, so I forgot.
Thanks for reminding me!

I just want to say, since I watched the first video with the 2x the tension trucker's hitch knot, I have been watching every single one and have learned so, so much. I appreciate all your videos and your willingness to teach others basic survival/camping tactics. Thank you.

As an eagle scout, I approve. Most useful knot for a line that needs to be adjusted easily.

Ive been fascinated with knots lately. Its amazing how useful they are. I was painting on a roof today and tied myself off. Its extremely gratifying the more self-reliant you become. Thank you for your lessons in knot tying. I have ADD so it gets confusing for me. But you show and explain in such a way that it just makes it all make sense and easy to remember.

With para-cord instead of 2 initial wraps use 3 then finish with the 1. It prevents slippage but still is adjustable.

I've used this knot for a few years and it has to be my favorite knot as I really like my tarp to be tight to stop flapping or water build up. Makes the process so much quicker

Wish every short was like this. 15 second video and I leave having learned something that will serve me forever

My favorite and still most used knot. I don't even do Scouts or camping anymore and I still use this one for temp lines, clothes lines, etc. Once used it to strap a 17ft canoe to the roof of the ole 'burban and drove 11 hours with no slack when we got where we were goin'!
