A few tricks that I would recommend is to use the square rice papers, which you can find in most Vietnamese or Asian supermarkets; and chop the lettuce. Instead of putting the wet rice paper on a place, put it on a wooden cutting board. It makes the rolling much easier.

Yummy! I love summer rolls. When rolling, practice makes perfect 👍. I usually use largest rice paper wraps and roll my veggies, then tuck my sides in, then set my 🍤 on and finish rolling. It tends to work better for me. Sometimes I’ll line my rice paper with a seaweed sheet to help hold things in and give extra protein and minerals. It also cuts well when lined with sushi sheets if you wanted to make different flavors to share with others. Such a fun and simple way to eat more veggies!

I like how you label this as low carb and keto friendly. I'm going to get back to 50 carbs a day and this will be just right. Anyhow, a few years back I was learning how to make Thai food and ate these everyday with fresh vegetables and many spices. I dropped weight so quickly and wasn't even trying. I'm not sure if it was the lime juice, fish sauce, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass or the Thai chilies. Whatever it was I'm going to do it again because my weight was dropping so fast. I made the Tom Yum regularly. Thai food is so satisfying and it takes away your sweet tooth too. Thank you, Myra

Isn't the rice paper too high in carbs to be considered keto though? I have a recipe saved on my phone that subs them out for cabbage instead

these are definitely amazing but be careful which rice paper you buy, i have some in my cupboard that are 17 carbs per 3 sheets and another pack that says 56 carbs per 3 sheets both have 0 fibre, please be sure to check the macros before purchasing.

The noodles are low carb but the rice wraps are not! 🤷🏻‍♀️Sorry to say bc I have seen these at Freddy’s and being Asian American I’m constantly looking for lower carb options! Literally would only be able to eat one of these! I make spring rolls on occasion and honestly I wish I knew of a lower carb version! I don’t use noodles at all and when on a Daniel Fast we used tofu and seaweed instead of noodles and rice wrap! We make a spicy salty type of dip as alternative. It’s made w Thai Chilis, lime or lemon, and fish sauce! Gods blessings and love your videos, congratulations on healthy eating!🙏🏽✝️🥰

I have made Vietnamese style eggrolls many times. They are so incredibly good! They are fried. I was taught by some Vietnamese friends and have been making them ever since. They used a mixture of ground pork and beef. I don’t know that I’ve ever written down the recipe but I would be glad to give it a try for you. The choice of noodles that you use inside would be the biggest keto factor. Other than that they’re already pretty keto friendly. Although the sauce would be the biggest challenge. But I don’t think that would be a huge challenge either after watching some of what you’re doing. It usually has sugar in it but that could be replaced with monk fruit or the like.
