Excellent information, video and layout. Great job Dale! I have been welding for a long time and there is so much I have missed over the years and my beads show that. Thankfully there are videos like this to help all aspects of welders "top dogs, new dogs, old dogs." Keep up the great work. 👍🏼👍🏼

Question or future video idea: What or why is DC reverse polarity stronger than DC straight polarity? I have always welded DC Reverse because I was told to when I learned to weld on the job 35 to 40 years ago but I don't know why. Thanks

I see you guys demo'ing root passes, but it seems that you always use thick coupons, like 3/8" or maybe 1/2"...very seldom do you see those thick pieces in real life; usually on the order of 1/4" or maybe around 1/8" in some rare cases. Why not use real life examples?

Personally I’d feather a stop to the point of it being blue just a bit to get it to flush on the back side just takes a bit of practice to get the hang of so you don’t make the keyhole to big and out of control

Quit counting all your doing is filling up the bevel. Just watch the puddle and move before it rolls over the edge

Yeah that’s a no for the Pipefitting industry. There are downhill procedures but we uphill our 6010. Union cert is uphill. 1/8”land and gap also.
