I always regain 10lbs after a long fast - pure water & fecal matter weight. The reason being is your intestines fill up with water to eliminate the sludge of all the food you've eaten over the past xyz days. The more days in a row you eat, the more sludge sits in your guts, and the more water is needed & collects to help pass it through. That is why IF is so important! Carnivore, dry fasting and IF - you'll drop it in no time at all and feel amazing once again!

When are people going to realize scale weight means nothing lol should've took measurements instead. My weight fluctuates constantly. I can gain weight while I'm losing inches and many people are the same

I just ended a 3 day Hard Dry Fast and this time I'm gonna be concious of the week ahead of me so I dont throw those.lounds back on. The past fast I've done though show it's a somewhat difficult but attainable. I love your in depth videos on fasting and being a believer in them, your information is accurate, helpful and motivating. Than you

I did a 3 day fast, felt great and caved. I've binged ever since and I don't know how to find the motivation to start again. I guess I'm going to have to just start lol, sometimes it's really that simple. I love your daily videos and find them very inspirational. I look forward to watching everyday.

I have gained 4.5 KG in one day by eating a head of cabbage, I thought I was going to die.

The easy mistake many people make post fast is to return eating the same number of calories they were eating before. If you lose 10-20% of your body weight, you should be reducing your new calorie intake to match your optimal weight.
Keto works really well for some. For me, Low Carb, more protein then a keto diet says. Lots of intermittent fasting and full time restricted eating.

What these two articles show is that our fat cells are limited in how big they can get. When your fat cells become too big, they are full and refuse to accept more fat and glucose because it will make them pop. In order to prevent them from absorbing more fat and glucose, later fat cells become insulin insensitive. The larger they are, the more insensitive they become.

But, the opposite is also true. As they become empty, they become more insulin sensitive. As we know, insulin is the fat storage hormone. So, the smaller our fat cells become, the less insulin it takes to make our fat cells store fat. This means that we'll have to get our insulin lower and lower to continue to shrink our fat cells. Eventually, we just won't be able to get our insulin any lower. We can't eat less than 0 carbs. We can't fast more than eating nothing. At that point, it will become impossible to shrink our fat cells any further because we just can't get our insulin to go any lower.

So how do we then lose more fat? Well, at this point, the only way to lose more fat is to destroy the fat cells. We need to consume them through autophagy. We need to force our bodies to need the materials stored within those fat cells other than the fat. That would be the proteins and water. That's where all this fasting helps. But, it's a very slow process. There are probably billions of fat cells that need to be consumed. The remaining fat cells will then become larger and less insulin sensitive and therefor easier to shrink.

This also explains why it's so easy to regain weight that you've just recently lost. And why fasting is so much better at eliminating the fat permanently than simply cutting calories.

10 pound swings are normal when intermittent fasting... Your actual "resting" body weight is around +5 from the bottom of the scale when in deep fasting "mode". My daily weight chart when I was doing keto/severe restriction looked like a heartbeat, but the trend line was easily visible right through the middle as a 1.5 pound a week loss.

The longest fast I have done is 5 days, but I usually regain about 2-3 lbs after refeeding. This is only water, and the weight of the food in your body. I eat a about 95% whole food plant based diet. Just remember, the numbers on the scale are not necessarily a good measure of health. You should monitor your blood pressure, and blood test results as well. Also, take a few body measurements, and track the basics like bust, waist, and hips.

Carnivore is the only way I do not feel bloated either! I used to love vegetables, avocados, and nuts too, but had to cut them out! :( Now, my tummy is flat, happy and I am losing about a pound a day by dry fasting all day (24 hours) and refeeding carnivore only (I am trying Cole's new OMAD routine and it is working for me!). Good to see you still on track and making videos! Love your energy! ~NAMASTE~

Dr Berg has a video specifically when veggies make us bloated. He really explains how KETO really works

If you metabolize 2, 000 cal/day, and 1 lb of fat is equivalent to 3, 500 cal, then you would have to eat 5, 300 cal/day to gain this as fat. I assume this is not the case. It's either fermenting in your colon as some else has suggested, or your body has re-equalized the water weight (probably fasting dehydrated you somewhat in spite of the snake juice), or some other of many processes. I don't think it was the avocados and nuts. Did you really eat 5, 300 calories/day?

Also, be consistent in how you weigh yourself. Step on the scale the exact same way each time, the same time of day roughly, and no clothes on. And only weigh yourself after emptying your bladder and having a bowel movement. It is essential to empty your bowels for the most accurate weight measurement possible. If you can't have a bowel movement don't weigh yourself that day.

TIP: when you eat high protein eventually the body will start burning the protein for fuel INSTEAD OF KETONES....and that’s why you’re weight loss staggered. Plus you needed one day of a healthy carb..like 3 ounces of a baked yam...to help your thyroid levels reset.

Fail ?? I don’t know what ya mean. Where did you fail ?? 41 pounds in your fast. Zero failure. Nine pounds in nine days eating after fast, how is that failure ?? That’s water mostly. I got the impression you’re unaware a few things like glycemic index, insulin responses, etc. I also felt you were analyzing results like on a daily basis. Our bodies do not always go by our clocks. They do things on their own time. I thought you needed to give things more time to settle and adjust. I don’t see your failures anywhere other than maybe failure to recognize exactly what your body is doing. A great resource for everything you’re doing is Dr. Berg !! OMG, he will inform you on anything related to this area of health. Even the bloating !! And I know he explained about getting bloated from certain vegetables because I watched it. Lmao, just don’t remember the info right now, but it’s out there. But girl, you didn’t fail, that’s utter nonsense !! Congrats on everything !! And check out Dr. Berg !!
