I spent 7 months in Ghana, West Africa. I are their homemade bread and alot of rice and potatoes everyday. I came back home 40lbs lighter. Gained back 20lbs in the 1st two months back home. There is definitely something about American food.

When my daughter began having digestive issues almost immediately after eating regular bread (Not sourdough) docs suspected a gluten sensitivity. When I baked bread at home, even if it was a yeasted bread, she experienced no digestive issues. We realized that it was all of the “enrichment” — the adding back into the flour what had been stripped from the wheat berry for processing, that was causing the issue for her. So I purchased a home flour mill and I stopped purchasing “grocery store breads”. I buy heritage wheat berries, Einkorn, and sprouted grains, and I bake my own sourdough sandwich bread for my family. This is what works for us. I enjoy the process and the bread is delicious 🙂

Wow the FDA should be ashamed of themselves to allow such terrible foods in the USA. I know “for profit” exist, but when I hear the breakdown of some of these harmful ingredients, it’s mind blowing. Thanks again for the vegucation.

I currently live in Addis ababa Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and the bread 🥖 I buy from the bakery has less than 7 days shelf life even when I try to keep it fresh by putting it in the fridge. Now I know why it molds so easily. Thanks Doc.

Thank you for explaining this in simple terms. I am a retired biochemist, and I have been sounding the alarm about american food products, especially wheat for years. I am also a Sebian. He actually inspired me to study my art. But my folks keep thinking that I am trying to convert them to an alkaline lifestyle. Hopefully, now coming from you, people will listen. Meanwhile, I have shared this with everyone I care about.

That's exactly why I went processed food free and grain-free a month ago after reading William Davis, MD's book, "Wheat Belly!" It talks about everything you have mentioned here in this video!! I'm so happy that I ran into your channel and to see that more people and doctors like you are becoming aware of the dangers of bread/grains and all processed foods and how they are literally killing us!

I quit eating bread/ sandwiches months ago for breakfast. I eat fruits or oats with plant milks. I look and feel so much better

That’s why I started making my own bread with only 3 main ingredients & biscuits…. My pasta comes directly from Italy as well. Traveling to Paris, I witnessed the difference firsthand…..Keep us informed 🎉🎉🎉

I was diagnosed with Celiac by a naturopathic doctor back in 2008. This was only after being seen by 3 regular doctors, who did not know what was causing my symptoms, YET STILL issued me prescriptions. 😡
I am very thankful to have been given a reason for the various, sometimes debilitating, symptoms that I had experienced.
