Over indulgence is the key. Most of the items disgused were explained as a problem when eat excessively or adding excessive things to them. The food isnt the the danger we are.

Poatoes are great. I can eat 5 pounds cut into wedges and baked in the oven as a meal. Just get rid of all the low quality fat and especially of the dairy products.

I like to dip sugar cubes in butter and eat them like popcorn. I know, I should dip them in cream cheese instead.

They specifically say "packed" potatoes, meaning a baked potato with all the extras, like sour cream, cheese, bacon, etc. I think if you eat one baked potato by itself, you'll be fine. Season with a little salt, maybe a dash of organic ketchup...

Potatoes have a pretty good amount of vitamin C and potassium, along with some B6. Eat the skin of the potato, and you'll get some fiber out of it. The only thing you got to watch out for is the fact that it's a high glycemic vegetable. It's got a lot of carbs, and will get your blood sugar up. I never eat more than one, and only once a day, to keep that in check.

It's best to eat a roasted or baked potato with some sort of protein source like fish or chicken, as that will help the blood sugar from spiking too much.

About the packed baked patatoes: use normal, fatty cream, cheese and don't overload it with bacon. Or if you're really craving the bacon, do put a lot on it.
(*alternative: browned onions :) )
Light products are processed foods, and unnatural.

Filling your body with light products tricks your brain into thinking 'ooo, fatty food, yum.' But when the body doesn't get that fat, it will be craving more fat afterwards.
Works the same for diet sodas. Brain thinks 'yes, give me that sugar ^-^', doesnt get it, craves sugar later on. Eats more than what you need.

Moderation is key, as mentioned in the video.
Activate your body: elevator > stairs, car ride > bike ride, nothing interresting on tv > take a walk sometimes

Last, what works for me: cook the unhealthy 'junk' food yourself. You're more aware of what in it, which doesn't mean I eat to much of it once it's in front of me:D. For example brownies, chicken nuggets, potatoe fries.

Potatoes are actually good source of calcium and are good replacement of bread if you want to go gluten free, peanuts and nuts in general are good for the brain, meat and dairy milks are good source of iron that human body needs

6. I don't drink milkshakes all that often, only as an occasional treat. Also diet soda is gross and as other commenters have pointed out, also really bad for you.
5. I've never had Poutine before, so I guess I'm doing the right thing there at least. But I also am not going to top my baked potato wedges with chili, a good potato wedge can be eaten on its own. ;)
4. I don't like coffee at all so this is of no concern to me. I prefer drinking tea. ;)
3. I don't like sour cream on my baked potatoes, but cheese and bacon, while they may be high-fat foods, are still very tasty and I usually only do a light sprinkling of them. I also don't have baked potatoes that often to begin with anyway.
2. Again, diet soda is gross and unhealthy. But on the other hand I can't have any of the regular mixed drinks either (yet, I've gotta wait approx. 2 years and 3 months before I can legally drink those...)
1. I don't eat peanuts at all either, so again this is not of concern to me.

Great advice. I try to avoid all those sugary foods and those containing  HFCS.

Long ago a very nice and very smart man gave me some good advice. This gentleman said that you should always strive to eat food that is as close to its natural state as possible. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds without Salt or other chemicals, fish and poultry baked not fried. He ended by saying "remember my friend there is no such thing as a Twinkie tree." I don't know where that fellow is now, but I hope he is well.

Cheese isn't unhealthy, it has lots of calcium. Low fat speads and diet coke just have added chemicals, which make them worse. Potatoes are healthy and carbs are very important for energy (sweet potatoes are healthier and taste better tho).

Why does the thumbnail show a photo of what appears to be a plate of pasta? Nothing mentioned about it in the video itself.
