How to Adjust Arrma 3s 4s Slipper Clutch Setting. Kraton, Outcast, Granite, Senton, Big Rock, Typhon

Hi all. This is to show how to adjust the slipper clutch on the Arrma 3s and 4s line of RC cars.
Basically you want the clutch to be nearly at the point of slipping when you use it normally so that it will slip in more extreme situations like landing a big jump. On the 4s Outcast in this video it ended up being fully tight then undone 1 full turn. On my 3s cars it 's more like undone a turn and a half.
Many thanks for watching. Please like and comment :-)

You make brilliant maintenance video's Pete, good content for anyone to refer to for help. The edit was really tight with the voiceover, well done. Bet this will help anyone who finds it. 👍🏻

Great job showing us how to tighten the slipper. I have never really paid much attention to the sound of an RC as the clutch is slipping. I do tend to over tighten my slippers.

Very well illustrated and explained as always, Pete! I still haven't got me one of these, but one day I will need this info and I know exactly where to find it! 😀

Hi Pete and happy Friday again! Great instructional video, mate, even though I don't have an Arrma it was still interesting to watch you wrenching away there! I must say I'm impressed by the modular construction of these rigs and how easy they are to take apart to work on. You can tell a lot of thought has gone onto the designs. Anyway, top job matey and enjoy your weekend down there - cheers! 😁👌✌👍

Hi there Pete, a very informative video on the clutch adjustment for these great RC’s. Your detail is superb. I just love the design of the Arrma’s so effective and makes maintaining these tough RC a real pleasure. Your guide is spot on my friend. Best wishes to you all 😊😊😊

You don't have to take the whole power module apart and take the whole slipper clutch out to adjust the slipper clutch. You can take the power module out and just hold the spur gear with your hand to keep it from spinning as you tighten..stock setting is to tighten all the way then loosen 1.5 turns...I find 3/4 to 1 turn is good for me . Any less than that and you risk causing damage to your stock composite diffs if youre an aggressive driver . I ended up stripping a rear diff one time and learned my lesson on setting the slipper properly .

Hi. Great video. I have the Big Rock and changed the plastic spur gear onto a steel spur gear. When I placed everything back the truck began squealing very loudly, and hardly moved. I know it’s the slipper clutch because you confirmed it, but I followed your instructions and it is doing it still or more. Any suggestions??

What type of grease do you use for the outer part of the diff and underneath the power module. Just got a Granite and I feel like I know what I’m doing now. Thanks for all the great info!
