I'm a low income senior on ss and all of a sudden money is being taken from my ss check that I cannot afford. How can I stop this. I don't even go to the doctor.

Anybody can refuse part B working or retired. I'm retired, and I'm going to cancel part B and take the $164 to buy food that I need. And winter heat, gas, the high cost of living

What about people who have a higher income and required to pay $590 per month? Seems that the system is unfair since it punishes people who worked hard and rewards those who didn’t.

Vital information, always get proof that you gave the forms. Thank you! Your cautionary tales are life saving.

I’m just going to use the VA and pocket my 180$ a month for food or other important items.

Don't forget to mention that Medicare Part B premium is times 2 if you are married. That's $174 per month for Each of You!

Yes! I am working passed 65 and not enroll on Medicare part A and delay Medicare part B due to I have an HSA account until I retire at 70 ( end yesr of 2025).
Please be advised me what I need to apply for Medicare Part A and part B along with employer letter which states that I have creditable coverage from my large company with 2000 employees.
Thank you and with every warmest wishes

I am wondering if it would be better to put the Part B premium amount into a savings account instead of buying part B. What is the average a Senior spends a month on Clinic visits. I cannot fathom being in the Doctor's office every month.

Glad I stumbled onto your videos! I'm 64 and intend to work for another 6 years. I have a great medical plan with a major corporation. Will start collecting delayed SS at 70. So....take the Medicare Part A, but decline the Part B until I stop working (or apply a few months in advance). That's the message I got from your video, correct?

Short answer: YES! You could be in the hospital and still be billed as outpatient. If you don't have B you could be hit with tens of thousands in surprise bills.

You will not be penalized if you are working & have grp insurance. When you stop working then you need part B, drug plan and medigap. No Advantage it may seem like a great plan until you need to use it.

I live overseas without plans to go back to the US anytime soon. I will be 64 in a month. They started charging me 174 for Medicare part B. I want to refuse part B. Will they reimburse me since i am not 65 yet? Is there a limit to the penalty of refusing part B? What if i need part B after 10 years?

I'm 63 years old. I've been receiving Social Security Disability benefits for 3 years now. Social Security Administration made me start taking Social Security benefits (They split the payments up into two payments, one for Disability and one from Social Security Administration). I'm confused about Medicare parts A and B. I'm recieving Medicaid Benefits from the State of Ohio

I am a 100% disabled veteran and just got notified a few days ago that I would have to pay $174 for my part B. Nothing in my income has changed and I am no longer able to work due to getting an injury when I did try to go back. I appealed the decision within 5 days and was wondering if I could opt out? Also how would it affect my Part A. TN is my state. Thank you

I'm 43 years old getting social security because I have cancer and I can not work. I was Just enrolled in medicare part a and part b. It cost me a $175 a month. Is there any way I could get On my fiance insurance from her current work place If they allow it? We are not married. I simply can barely live off The money that they give me and I can't afforded to be even shorted more each month. I was told at first I wouldn't have to pay for this now. I'm paying for this, is the reason why?
Thanks in advance!

Plrase explain the penalty

Q1.
If i refuse part B at 65. And when I turn 66 then decide I want it. I would have to pay 10% penalty.. of what amount exactly ?

$165x12 = $1980
10% = $198

I have to pay $198
Or $2178 (1980+198) ?

Q2.
And after I pay whichever amount I get to join from that point on at $165/month ?
