I am paying $68 a month for my Part D plan. It’s also $500 deductible, and barely pays anything for my meds. I take two eye drops and Gabapentin. And then I take Pantaprazole and Ondansetron. So I have a large copay on top of the $500 deductible. So byt the time I pay my insurance premiums and vehicle insurance I only have $35 left for the whole month to live on. Can’t afford gas to even get to go to a doctor. So I’ve had to cut the visits down.

I am a retired Federal Employee with Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have Medicare part A and B. Do I need Part D? What does it cost? Will I be required to by only generic brand drugs?

Okn I'm confused on all of this medicare stuff. I turn 65 on October 27th, 2023. I plan on stll working until my full retirement age which is 66 and 8 months I believe. So, do I need to apply on July 27th since its three months before my 65th Birthday?? Thanks
