Doctors, do you really know what the key differences are between Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage? It’s important that you do...

Medicare Advantage is on the move. It has grown from less than 20% of the health insurance market for seniors to 50%. In fact, Medicare Advantage is now equal in size to Traditional Medicare. But it’s not stopping there. Medicare Advantage is expected to be 70% of the total senior health insurance market by 2030.

So, it’s really important that doctors know the difference between Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage. I break down all of the main differences you’ll want to know in this week’s episode of Healthcare Uncovered.

Appreciate this video, liked the condensed format or ‘high notes’ for some of these topics

Original Medicare does indeed have prior authorizations, just not as many.

Thanks Dr. Bricker, great content. Any chance you can do a video on Medicaid waivers?

Very interesting video ! I had a question . How is the amount the CMS pays per member fixed . If the private insurance quotes that amount then always a bigger insurance company can quote a lower amount rite, and that might be bad for smaller insurance companies / plans

I work for a large healthcare system, Medicare Advantage is a very small percentage of total Medicare. Less than 10%, not 50%.

Any thoughts on why MA is growing in popularity? All I hear is extra work for not much of a financial incentive.
