As a 49 Y/O former U.S. Marine and career Firefighter/Paramedic, running in one form or another has been essential to keeping functionally fit. Gets way harder with age, mileage and injury, but you can tweak it to your needs. Sprint/walk intervals for a couple few miles once or twice a week is motivating, especially if you hate boring jogging. Mix it up with Rogue echo bike and step mill…A few minutes before and after lifting is killer. Thanks guys.

Hybrid training has always been where its at for me. Lifting a few days a week and running 3 days. Sometimes ill do both if im feeling myself but usually separate days. I love how I feel after a run as i feel it challenges me more mentally

Great video! It all comes down to what your goal is and how you want to look. The appeal of a bodybuilder always seemed little to much, unnatural and unhealthy. Hybrid training is definitely my favorite. I feel exactly how you described everything. Mental state while running or walking is something different. Glad you guys made this video.

im so glad you all put in time and effort in evaluating your running and making sure you're doing it safe! 90% of the times when I see an influencer start their running journey, they get injured within the first month due to inproper form! you guys are doing a great job staying safe!!

The tabletop gaming nerd in me looks at balancing the two as like multiclassing my character. I'm glad that you guys highlighted the importance of periodization and diet if you're trying to balance running and lifting. In my lifetime I started out as a runner, and then gave it up when I took up lifting, but felt bad about it. I used to think one would negatively impact the other if I tried both until I learned more about maintaining a diet that supported both, and being conscious of when and how frequently I run and lift. It's is totally possible to progress at both concurrently.

This is incredible and coming at a perfect time. I have also started to transition to a MTTF weightlifting and WS run schedule for hybrid athlete training. Seeing my oldest (not age, but years watched) and favorite fitness youtubers do so as well just strengthens my resolve.

I always walk every other day after I get off work from the school I work at. It helps to relax, unwind and think.

Greetings from England. Great video, as always. Both of you must feel so lucky being able to train in such beautiful surroundings. It must really help with the motivation for running outdoors. The scenery always looks stunning. Love the running track setting.
