Ironically the 'swimmer's body' look comes from lifting weights, not swimming. Pro swimmers look like that because they have to lift too.

You missed increasing lung capacity. When my daughter was little she had severe asthma and her specialist recommended swimming. I have asthma too and it's completely under control now that I'm swimming every day. It has also reduced back and neck pain and my stress level

But it's great to have a swimmer body...I will never stop swimming every day.

Being recovering from breast cancer what I miss most are my daily swims, hopefully now that I am done with the radiation crap I am looking forward to doing my laps in the morning. Every part of my body has suffered from this experience…..hopefully once I can get back in the pool I will start to feel normal again……

Actually swimmer body is a reward from good training. You need to focus on swimming, lifting weight, eating healthy and the rest follows! Also don't forget the 25m underwater swims for lung capacity!

I've been in love with water as a child but developed a fear of drowning with growing mental health issues as an adult. Coming back to swimming and to confront that fear has brought me back to myself like nothing else.

I am a Jamaican swimmer but I have to say that having a better physique is way more advantageous for people because if you are really skinny it’s harder for you to pull the deadweight water and lift yourself out in strokes like butterfly and breaststroke

As a swimmer that has states time for Minnesota, it’s not just swimming, yes you do get the abs and muscle, but it is not enough to get the big shoulder muscles and others so you still need to do dry land

I tend to fall asleep if I don't swim fast enough 😂😂😂 I've swum into the wall a few times because of it 😂😂😂

Sleep and appetite for me. Strength and stamina gone up doing daily tasks. Feel lazy though when out of the pool often.

In my last high school swim meet the weeks leading up I was with my friend who also did the 500 was talking so much smack about how he was going to beat me and when the meet came I beat him by about 20 seconds and we both got PR's

I mean you can get the swim body from just swimmer but workout increases it by alot especially if you eat healthy train enough and sleep gealthy

Can anyone explain this to me? I started swimming and I got knee pain! 😢 I always heard that swimming was recommended for knee pain! It is kind of frustrating
