"Westernized" is a good thing meaning we've progressed like europe, usa... We are the richest country in Asia n top 3 in the world by Gdp per capita whereby Asia is the 2nd poorest continent
Boring? Idk.. my gf from africa came here for 3 days. Only able to bring her to marina bay area, orchard road n chinatown(only 1/4 of SG) n we were rushing for time.. we need 5 days at least. She had so much fun

Singapore is fantastic. Yes, accommodation can be expensive but food and transport are reasonably priced.

I like to go to hawker centers cuz the food there is cheap and it’s where I have been eating since I was small (I recommend going to block 216 hawker Centre at bedok. You should try their prawn noodles ☺️)

Singapore is fantastic, i visit every year . Im lucky to be on the West Coast of Australia, so Singapore is no further than Sydney for me and its the same time zone for me, so it is a perfect place for a week long break. I always find something new to do there.

Happy to see a foreigner saying we are a fun place! It's true we might be small but there are a lot of places to visit and things to do here. Unlike in some countries you won't see kilometres of jungle if you're driving. And we might be expensive but think about it we have such an efficient public transport system. And hello Singapore is full of Asian vibes More than 90% of our population is Asian, and maybe we have western vibes because we were a former British colony and a major international port, until today.

Singapore is where my heart is at. Super efficient place, super safe for natives and immigrants alike, all the basic neccesities are walking distance away.

You'd never require a car to survive here unlike US.


I know everyone has different priorities regarding the lifestyle they want. But for a rule abiding introvert like me Singapore is closest to utopia i can get in this planet. It is absolutely not for a person who has difficulty following rules and regulations (most people from 3rd world will fall into this category)

Japan and rest of East asia is preferable too but they are very homogeneous and you will never truly fit in. Singapore is multicultural, and offers something for everyone. I am blessed and privileged to be living here. ✨

I hope Singaporeans realize how privileged they are.

I’m grateful that you like Singapore. I am a Singaporean btw. And base on the comments, it is sad that ones must not say good things about Singapore….. (we r drinking sewage water etc) do they even know the real purpose of our recycled waste water?…. That clearly shows the quality of our neighbour isn’t it? And thats the reason why we are highly educated, heavily armed and more well off. We believe in racial harmony and equality regardless of race and religion. The marvel of an efficient government who believes in eduction for all, thats why we managed to transform into a 1st world country in 50yrs despite not having any natural resources.
Those who has nothing good to say, reflects badly on the quality of their country they represented. They just want us to disappear from the map. Jealousy and inferiority is the cause i say. And with that red eye mindset, they will forever be less well off than Singapore.

I had two layovers in Singapore, the second being 20 hours....booked a hotel near Chinatown....and had a craving for Char Kway Teow, or Singapore Laksa...so went to a hawker stall, found I was late for said dishes, so just had some chicken Rendang, curried veges, rice, and a crumbed chicken cutlet, with sambal...the people were so friendly, and the food was inexpensive, and really delicious...I had a warm glow in my belly...they didn't use msg, or palm oil, which is hard for me to digest...washed down with some Tiger beer....yes, things are expensive in Singapore, but, I noticed a few Western expats eating in the hawker stalls....I went back to the restaurant next to my hotel, and paid $55 SD for two mixed drinks. Just mix it up with food from the hawker stalls, and have the odd expensive treat while you're in Singapore....I like what they've still have enough of the old traditions to make things interesting....and beautiful gardens.

Depends on what you're into. You want wild and free? Yep. Singapore is not for you. Lawlessness? Do whatever you want? Yep. Singapore is not for you. You want cheap and easy? Yep. Singapore is not for you. You want locals to kowtow to you like you're God? Yep. Singapore is definitely not for you. There are other countries nearby that can cater to your wants and needs. That's the thing about choices. You want safety? Efficiency? Cleanliness? Rule of law? Singapore is for you.

Sing is great in terms of safety, discipline, and living quality. Food is ok. One thing that make me a uncomfortable, the people not too nice. As a tourist, sometimes when we want to eat, we have to know what inside the dish esp for me who have allergic. And a few times, a local with a little harsh told me to hurry up or move away from the line. Another case, my 4 yo son just say hi to a dog, he is not touch the dog, but just excited so he came closer to the dog but still far so they can't touch each other. And what happen next make me mad. The owner yelling at my son.

I still come to sing because my son like pokemon so much. So we just come to sing only when he want to buy something in pokemon store.
