I do appreciate how you get right into the first point within the first 5 seconds of the video. Theres no “make sure to click the notification bell” or any other explanation. You treat your audience like they are smart and thats cool.

Made me remeber my vacation in Singapore, such an amazing destination truely. Everything just works, lets you just enjoy and relax. Not much cities where you get that tbh (on vacation, living there is a whole other beast)

Wow! Fascinating video! I had no idea about the HEAT, humidity, beauty, high incomes, great subway, etc, in Singapore. Thanks, Chris!

Very informative tips and straight to the point! Good reminder on the clothing that might not be appropriate if one intends to visit the temples, usually people forget about that.

That's great to know about the humidity there! I will for sure keep a small towel with me when I decide to head over there someday.

For point number 6, not all 4 stars hotels are ultra pricy. There's the Furama City Center hotel on Eu Tong St, which has basic chambers (300 sq ft) for like SGD110 per night, compared to the usual SGD180/night in other 4-star establishments.

Another great video. Most of us want to do what's right when we travel, but how can you when you don't know the rules? Thanks for the heads up, buddy. (Two more rules: don't bring illegal drugs into the country because you will likely be executed, and don't toss chewing gum on the ground. I don't know if they will execute you for that, but you might get caned, and you don't want that.)

Love the sign that says "No Tooting". (OK, it's really "Touting")

Indoors are super cold air-conditioning so bring light to med layers. Street food are safe. No need to buy bottled water. Public transport takes credit card for payment. No littering, no spitting, no peeing in public.

I call Singapore the 90/90 country. 90° + 90% humidity! Umbrella! You dry pretty fast, get wet and walk into A/C. COOL!🥶 My wife won't eat at hawker centres, not because it's street food, but because hawkers have no A/C.🥵 Singapore punishes small crimes to prevent large ones. The US rewards small crimes so criminals move up to larger ones.😂
Newton used to be good 20 yrs ago. Now it's all spruced up and a tourist destination.

Not cleaning up after you eat in hawker stations can result in fines of you get caught.

Singapore, and most of Asia, has levels of social trust, public order, and safety completely foreign to Muricans. I fnd it interesting that other than Murica, where you're sorta stuck, the only place you travel to is Asia. Go ahead, do what you want to do and take the plunge; I did over twenty years ago and never looked back!
