I have a friend who was hesitant to partake of communion because she had no assurance of her salvation. Yep, a Reformed church.

It's an issue we are wrestling with with our assistant pastor. He's Calvinistic so when I noticed that in his sermons he closes off by inviting any person who would to come to Christ and believe in Him.

I asked him how could he tell everyone that God loves anyone when I actual fact he believes that God does not love everyone. He replied that "ofcourse we can't tell people that God only loves some." I said how could you preach what you believe the Bible doesn't teach? Don't you think it calls into question your credibility? He insisted that calvinism is correct but so is the invitation to Christ. When he saw the dubiousness of it. He literally walked me out of his office.

This discussion really spoke to my heart. The relationship with God really made sense.
My husband keep ramming down my throat that Jesus only died for the elect few.
He said we need to be thankful He picked a few.
I said if I had known God was like this I would never had any children as some may not have been chosen, they may have been born to spend eternity in hell!
Our children were not allowed to sing Jesus loves me because He didn’t as they were rotten filthy sinners.
I had such a joy when I became a born again Christian but this theology has taken my joy.
Who would want to love a God like Calvanism portrays 😢

Wow! So much great commentary and insight. My heart aches for my Calvinistic friends but I'm also sickened by their view of Christ. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, much to consider.

In general, I'm surprised that Gospel believers aren't more aware and appalled by Calvinism. There really seems to be a stealth approach to spreading their belief.

I appreciated the "borrowing power" perspective. I'm still trying to gain more understanding as to the messed-up reasons why anyone would be drawn into Calvinism. I'm believing more and more that "evil spirits" are in play in addition to the "power" and "pride" fleshly desires.

Thanks again!

It's the most insane thing in Calvanism that all just can't mean all. It is just crazy.

I was hopeful to chill out and rest while listening to this video. Within 15-20 minutes I was up on edge of my bed.
I took my resonator guitar and slide outside as I needed to put the emotion somewhere ……. I continued intently listening on my phone with guitar in my lap.
For me, this is one of the most moving heart mind body soul videos I’ve experienced on this channel. Thank you very much.

This was great! When I first got exposed to Calvinism, especially hearing about Limited Atonement, I thought it was nonsensical. It never made sense to me but I wanted to be gracious in hearing the people’s perspective that hold that view. I respect many of them. I did a lot of analyzing, trying to figure out the “why” of their draw to Calvinism. This hits all the points that I’ve been seeing. Thanks for platforming this conversation. It is very needed today!

Kevin, I enjoy it whenever you partner with Mr. Gustafson on a video…it’s always pure substance in a very relatable discussion.

My wife's first reaction when I told her about something Paul Walker had said,
( which I was ignorant about I had no idea what Calvinism was),
her first response was "well that's stupid" 😂

This was wonderful! It explains so much of the behavior of my younger sister who cut off a relationship with me because I didn’t agree with her propositions. She told me I was a reprobate. This has gone on for over 10 years now. It is really sad. Her heart seems so cold and I am praying she is open to understanding and receiving the true gospel and love of God. Thank you so much!

I highly recommend the book by Dr. Peckham “Theodicy of Love.”

15:00 An 'honest' Calvinist illustration of witnessing to a man across the hallway about Jesus... The man responds positively and wants to be saved.... they pray together... the man excitedly says "lets go in and tell my wife and kids about Jesus"... The Calvinist says "Yes, lets go find out if God loves them too"😎 ...

AND... nobody is ever assured they will receive the necessary "Perseverance" on this side of the 'grassy knoll'.
With Calvinism the Devil's always in the details... literally.🤦🏻‍♂
Most Calvinists were believers in Christ before they became convinced of TULIP. The most tragic part of Calvinism is how it can rob believers of any confidence they are truly loved by our Heavenly Father... THAT is what Satan likes best about Calvinism, it undermines a believers relationship with God which Jesus gave his life to make possible.

Around the 29:00 minute mark you start the slides. Are these comments of Doug to you available to read elsewhere?

For years I've been trying to figure out what it is about Calvinism that feels so insidiously evil to me. Kevin has come closest to exposing it without ever putting a label on it. Today's broadcast brought a flicker of light. Calvinism is spiritual Narcissism, and Calvin's god is the father of Narcissists. The evil is that his god's love is complete pretense, it is vacuous, and its only purpose is to suck people in to mindlessly worshiping him so he can receive everlasting glory. Given all that, why in the world did he send his son Jesus to die for some sins? That just doesn't make sense at all.

Want to talk about a horrible view of God, I am a Mennonite in West Texas, the other day we were at a family gathering and one of the family members spoke up and said "we better not forget to pray otherwise God might take all our food away from us"....🤦‍♂️
They honor God with systemic do's and don'ts, , worshipping a pagan God that requires rituals and modern-day sacrifices otherwise he will strike you down!...😡⚡️⚡️⚡️
