Thank you!! The cause for my side-hip-pain is likely my kneeling chair and me putting down my legs too much off-center. I'll try to have my knees parallel and not so much distanced! I bought this kneeling chair to relieve lower back aches (and it worked except for the new hip pain). And adductor pain after running. You totally nailed it. Thanks!

Thanks Ali, I have done it all, leg crossing, working standing with one leg behind the other or, "laying" on the hip. Now I have a nice tendinopathy.

Hi! Thanks for this. Looks like you are showing the wrong ways to sit and stand with hip pain. Can you show the correct ways to sit and stand with hip pain and perhaps tips for how to sleep that doesn't irritate it? Thanks so much.

I stumbled upon your site and I’ve been watching your videos all morning. Finally getting coherent, explanations and tools to deal with this!

Question: for long car rides and an upcoming plane trip (which includes long layovers in an airport where I may be sitting extensively)- while on the plane should I just try to get up and walk up and down the aisle a little bit? I guess more specifically is extensive sitting going to aggravate my problem while I work through these issues?

Was sleeping peacefully and baam suddenly woke up out of pain because I bent my affected leg in my sleep. Now here I am at 4:00 am watching this video. :)

The hip hang is where I hold pain. Bending sideways especially. My pain is at the very top and towards the back. I think gluteus medius.

I see how crossing your legs would make it worse, so why would sitting with the legs spread apart more rather than close together also be bad. That part does not make sense to me.

I have gluteal tendinopathy. I do not sit cross-legged, I sit in my chair with my knees aligned with my hips and my feet on the ground, but I can still feel pressure on the tendon. What else will help? A wedge cushion?

I want to squat and deep and build my legs, my left leg has high thigh and side hip pain, and my right QL is tight becuase I don't feel any left glute support when standing! PLEASE HELP
