Restaurant manager fired over videotaped dispute with Latina employee, children

After a video of a Corelife Eatery manager`s outburst at an employee and her family went viral, the company fired her and stated their disappointment with the way she handled things.

Why do managers feel that asking for a raise is a fireable offense?

Before cell phone cameras, this was pretty much how most store managers behaved. I worked retail for 5 years in my teens and 20s and 5 of the 6 managers I had treated everybody like this. These are people who got promoted by pure chance and mistakingly believe they are moguls-in-the-making.

As a restaurant manager with many Spanish speaking staff we made sure every document was translated in Spanish and went to great lengths to translate and keep up communication with staff. This manager is just disgusting. If she can’t respect her workers she shouldn’t have a job anywhere

I saw the viral video of this incident on Facebook. There was no need of this treatment. This manager was a bully. She deserve to get fired. I hope she learns a lesson about compassion and kindness, because apparently that wasn’t shown here and my heart breaks for this poor woma and her family that only tried to help her.
