So, here's my take. Any establishment can enforce a dress code. However, it is IMPERATIVE that establishments uphold them holistically for all people across the racial spectrum, NO EXCEPTIONS. Otherwise, incidents like this scream unfair discrimination. Needless to state, I will not be patronizing their services.

At present, the company of the restaurant has issued a statement, apologized to the girl, and claimed that it has dismissed the manager in the video, but it is the owner of the restaurant who is the first to prevent the woman from entering the restaurant. The manager is the scapegoat. Is this American democracy? It's ridiculous.

I'm extremely disgusted. The level of double standard is extremely next level. The kid out there clearly wear similar clothing. Cmon stop this dress code BS. It's not even a fancy restaurant. Now Atlas is blaming their entire practice to one unlucky employee.

They only apologized after the manager got called out. I mean he couldn't even answer her questions in full sentences!

In 2004 I was fired from a little Italy restaurant when I objected to an owner using a racial slur (the n word?!?). Company settled through EEOC eventually & I used the experience to develop an anti-bias training program for foodservice that is now being used by thousands of restaurants and many colleges across the country. Turn a negative into a positive. #FoodserviceTrainingPortal

Those INDIVIDUALS who decided to enforce a policy are just that, INDIVIDUALS. They should have invited the woman and her boy inside to sit at a table, immediately after it became apparent that the dress code had been compromised, rather than having a “NOT ONE MORE” attitude about it because either way, they get in trouble. Would you rather get in trouble for allowing someone with inappropriate clothing inside or would you rather get in trouble for denying a black person service ?

Just to be clear. The manager is not in the video. This guy was just relaying the info the manager said.

I say don't patronize their restaurant, or any other restaurants that do not want black people in it. People stay home and cook your own meals unless you want this treatment and or someone serving you "old spoiled" food. Stop letting them get rich off the dollars black people spend in their stores and restaurants. It's called BlackOut, and every black person should do it, and I practice what I preach!

Hold on, in the full video the manager states that the boss has told him to go over there and that he won't come over to speak to them. So why the hell is the manager getting fired and not the actual owner?

Watch it Strahan it was nice if you to invite the little boy over for dinner if in NY did you see how mama bear is holding you to it. She invited herself has it on tape on TV might sue you if you don’t have them over. Her little tearful plea. That’s not the same person in the restaurant. Again poor kid.

I am white and l'm shocked what l saw. The black boys outfit looked really really nice. In fact he looked like a magazine model. This was 100% racists.

I'm sorry but I would have completely lost it. The fact that he is blatantly ignoring her question and tried to switch from it being about just his shorts to his shorts and shirt completely enrages me. Then before the video ends he admits that he didn't even know what was on the white boy's shirt which proves a bias. The guy should be identified and barred from any type of management position because he has shown the capability of doing these things. I want his name and family name along with anyone involved in doing this.
