Dr Rhonda, I started taking 2000IU of Vitamin D3 per day and 2 to 4 fish oil capsules plus a B vitamin complex as well as 150mg of CoQ10 to get off a deep alcohol, amphetamine and cannabis dependency. When I started using the vitamin D3 I noticed immediate effects. Everything you say about serotonin here seems to hold true to me. I didn't start the Vitamin D3 until I listened to you on the Joe Rogan Podcast and more videos on Youtube. You have seriously helped me, my head space is clearer than it has been for probably 6 years. Thank you very much.

Her information on serotonin is spot on. When i suffer a depressive episode, my memory is very poor and my cognitive function declines to the point where i can barely read a book. Decision making is also difficult.

I found you while listening to the Rich Roll podcast and then promptly watched every episode of you on the Joe Rogan experience, and your youtube channel vids. (literally didn't leave the house for two days) I have learned more about my health in the past week than I have my whole life. And, as I vegan I am making some changes to my diet and will be incorporating micro algae oils and possibly krill oil, as well as Vitamin D3. I had NO idea how important these were to essential functions in my body and am blown away by your knowledge, clarity, and relate-ability. Im convinced I will be feeling better soon and no longer have to suffer in silence with certain symptoms that can be so easily helped. I will be sharing this info and videos with everyone I know. Dr. Rhonda, I just discovered your channel, thank you for the wonderful, rich, detailed, and insightful content. I can tell you really believe in your research and want to make a difference in the world. I've been "researching" nutrition for years now and it's difficult to find free, publicly available, in-depth scientific, lengthy, no nonsense discussions like those on your channel. Keep it up, this is great content! While the majority of the population has less than a 90 second attention span, those of us with longer attention spans are still listening! Thank you again.

This is valuable beyond words.  Why do I get the feeling that the reason this valuable information is so hard to find in mainstream media is because the healthcare industry would lose profits. Vitamins D especially.

So diet has a direct effect on gene expression and can potentially suppress harmful genes as well as encourage helpful genes. Pretty incredible and definitely encouraging for a better diet. Excellent videos! Keep them coming!
