I dont get how you present an essay that accomplished everything in the task response but only get a How do you get a 9? If it is impossible whats the point ?

I just finished my IELTS exam today and the writing task 2 was to write an essay about advantages outweighing disadvantages type essay. However although I wrote clearly about advantages i forgot to write disadvantages. Will this reduce my overall writing score conisiderably😢?
