People say "get a job" like it's going to solve all problems. That's a flippant, elitest, ignorant response.
If a person cant get rental assistance, and are behind on their rent & can't pay current rent, what new job is going to erase all of I don't know any new jobs that start out paying $25, 000 the first paycheck. If you know of any such jobs, please share the information. Otherwise stop with the dumb "get a job" comments. 🙄

Dude, it’s even worse than you presented it. There are actually 3 phases; the third phase runs into June 2023! Beyond this, you are not allowed to pursue a small claims judgement for an additional 12 months after the expiration of the moratorium. That means the earliest you will theoretically have a shot at recouping your money is June 2024!

Beyond this, and this is where it gets really insidious: I’ve spoken with all 5 board members, the Dcba, hud, my congressman and district reps… none of them have a plan re: rental assistance beyond the current 18 months that tenants are allotted. That means if your case goes into phase 3, there is no way for you to get assistance for at least 6 months of what you are owed. And get this: the program is currently out of money. I’ve called and confirmed this with a program director at housing is key. The situation is utterly fucked.

Working I am paying 25 of rent effort my landlord called me or mngr why is they are letting me pay rent next month I am in eviction file but am waiting on Covid key to pay the past due They are waiting ion answer from them and I can’t at least pay some rent they won’t take payment

Yes people that don’t pay a penny are making. People who work hard barely making ends meet now cause cut backs at work look bad
