Thank you for the informative video! I have a rental in SD county and the current 1.5 year lease will expire in 60+ days. If I switch the lease to month-to-month (instead of 1 year) and if the tenant misses the rent - can I still evict them?

I have been paying rent and also catching up on back rent. My landlord just blocked me from being able to pay rent online. And told me that she will accept payments made via money orders but won’t submit them until all back rent is paid at once. Can I be evicted due to that?

Property owner was approved for rent relief for a tenant living in Los Angeles County. Housing is Key sent out an email a few months ago stating, "the check is on its way". A check has not been received. The customer service number does not appear to be an actively monitored phone number. Is there someone else we can contact?

What are Landlords supposed to do if Housing is Key funding runs out? Are we supposed to keep a tenant on board until 2023 without receiving any compensation whatsoever?

This is for the incorporated city of Huntington Park in L.A. County.

On June 1st, can my granddaughter move in to my triplex. She is similarly situated. However, the tenants are 5 or 6 people while she will need unit for herself.

I’ll tell you what I see in LA with people in my age group (25-35). They’re not paying rent or student loans because they don’t have to. They’re working gig jobs and cash jobs giving them more free time. Cafes, restaurants, and high end designer stores are packed with people spending their new increased “discretionary” income. It’s a mess and a ticking time b***b.

People are simply leaving CA. After the 2020 census results came in, the state actually LOST a seat in Congress due to population decline.

Now being a landlord means you provide free housing at your expense.

I hate LA give so much power to tenants. For those who really need it, I feel for; however, the ones who are playing the system I hate. They are screwing small landlords out of their property for their own gain. I have no sympathy for them or their families. I wish I bought my property outside of LA county.
