Every infinite regress argument relies on special pleading for God. Life from non-life, the kalam, the argument from contingency, etc.

None of these arguments even establish the existence of a god, even if you grant them fully, let alone the specifically Christian one.

That story about the two French guys was pretty disgusting. And I don't for a moment think the person that made it up didn't know how ugly it was.
If I were in the shoes of that hypothetical atheist, I might respond to the Christian, "As you are a Christian, why aren't you going around committing mass killings? Because the standard of your moral system has a penchant for mass killings."
If that God were the standard for love too, I might just swear off love, in favor of kindness, caring, respect, and other actually positive emotions.

Cliffe is very effective in twisting things slightly to better fit his progressive, as well as making his arguments look like substantial evidence to laymen even though it basically chocks up to “I think this is real because I really want it to be and I don’t understand the other position.”
