As a Bedrock player, I can confirm that this is the hardest challenge I’ve faced in my 3 year Minecraft world

Something he didn't mention was that without golden apples or a ridiculous amount of healing potions the wither effect it produces WILL kill you in ANY armour

It may be harder, but getting the beacon in bedrock feels like much more of an achievement

Bedrock: "Time to fight the Wither!"

Java: "Time to check up on my Wither farm."

The bedrock wither can also teleport to you if there are no other mobs in the area to distract it. Also, at half health, the wither is immune to projectiles.

The ancient builders must've been playing on bedrock 💀

All bedrock players remember when the wither went through blocks

Bedrock: making a beacon feels like heaven.
Java: making a hardcore world feels like heaven.

The bedrock wither is the perfect example of how powerful bosses should be.

I spawned the wither in my world when I was 8-9.
I then proceeded to watch it decimate my 2 year Minecraft world, while balling my eyes out. Good times. This was in bedrock.

Java players will never understand the pain a bedrock player faces to make a beacon

On top of everything else mentioned, this guy DARKENS THE SKY WHEN SUMMONED. So you're forced to fight him at night.

Because the boss wasn't hard enough, now some random zombie or skeleton will walk up to you without getting burnt by the still-visible sun.

Having a beacon on bedrock is the ultimate flex. Even more than having full netherite gear. Bonus points for having a netherite base for the beacon

After half health, projectiles no longer affect it and so you have to wait for it to swoop down for a second to attack or pillar up

As a bedrock player there are some cheeses you can take advantage of when fighting him. When he flies in the air real quick he pauses for a moment where you can shoot him with an arrow or two before he starts firing his wither projectiles. I only fight him in open land like a desert. When he hits halfway often times he burrows into the ground and he may take a while to come back up. Don’t follow and fight him because he’s very tough to beat without running and dodging in open land. Let him come back up to you and he’s actually a bit easier once he’s in his second phase. Just use a smite sword or axe and go in for a hit or two and his charge dash is noticeable and usually easy to dodge. When he dies he does one final charged explosion too but that’s super easy to run from. I recommend totems of undying, golden apples, and a potion or two of strength and regen.

Camman18: “It’s not the ender dragon, *_WITHER_*, or even elder guardian.”
Also camman18: “the wither has 300 heart more than any other mob EVER”

I fought the wither in bedrock with my 2 friends inside a cave near a stronghold. The wither went into the portal of the end and we had to fight it in the end after getting absolutely wrecked by it. At the end, we defeated the wither and got the star, one of the best achievements of my Minecraft life

As bedrock player I never understood the praise I got for having earned honestly a sextuple beacon, until I learned the java wither is a fricken cupcake.
