How To Minecraft Wither Fight // Guide for Bedrock 1.19+

Fighting the Wither has gotten much EASIER RECENTLY, because of enchant parity in the most recent updates. Armor is much stronger which allows you more time to damage the wither, making the fight quicker and easier. This tutorial will give you all the tips and tricks needed to battle the wither successfully. The fight in this video was done in HARD MODE on the bedrock edition of Minecraft.

**Please note console and mobile versions of the game can begin to lag because of entities when fighting. Two strategies around this... make picking up blocks a priority when fighting alone, or better yet, invite another to battle with you and strictly pick up blocks.

Useful tip, if you have soul speed you can put soul sand or soil in the tunnel to escape faster.

This video is very useful not only did it teach me how to kill the wither again it reminded me that I need to be patient and collective about going into these fights I’ve been playing MC since cows came and have done all these things before but after coming back after a 2 years break this vid reminded me that patience and resource gathering makes you achieve anything in these games

Thanks for this tutorial. I used your materials list although I changed some things for my world to avoid having it crashing. Ended up fighting the wither on the Nether roof. It killed me once but I was able to head back in with my backup gear and kill it. The bedrock roof really helped keep it in place, sorta. But either way, now I’ve got my first beacon and I feel kinda proud of myself.

1.19 bedrock edition wither fight: The wither is super easy if you 1. Fight at nether roof. 2. Make sure you have protection 3 diamond armor or nether items armor. 3. You need a power 3 bow and arrow (don’t bring crossbow). 4. If you use your sword against the wither in its first stage then you have to use arrows in its blue (rage mode or strong) stage. So use your arrows to damage him halfway. I used this method with regular arrows. Make sure your sword is Smite 5. I did this practice fight without potions. Wither may use quick attack, use this to advantage and slash the wither. If your cornered and with wither is right next to you, run under it and do a critical hit before hiding. You shouldn’t be below half health. I hope this helped

Great video, well explained. Just wanted to add if you raise chickens in the fight room the wither will target the chickens instead of you. He won't blast upwards either.

I hope this gets more views, the bedrock wither has such a (now) undeserved reputation. I know how hard bedrock wither was, I killed 2 with my bare hands (and no armor. and no weapons.)

Granted I died a total of like 50 times in the process, but it was a nice way of getting a lot of terracotta before I had a good pick. Also it's really fun to try to fight a near-unsurmountable opponent. Anyways I'm almost a wither expert so when I say that with Protection on your armor(doesn't even need to be diamond!) you can beat it fairly easily, I really mean it.

For mobile players out there, do not heed my advice, it's probably still a bit of an annoying fight, but still doable.


Anyways, fighting the wither without any gear in the open is actually really fun. It's tough, but it's got those real Video Game Boss Fight Vibes to it and your only opening to attack is to use its own attack against it.

I did it! your system was great. i did use golden apples and regeneration potions too and did not even die and got lots of blocks and diamonds were exposed! Thanks it did it on PC so did not lag.

Thank you for explaining in such a simple way, today I tried to kill the wither with my brother, we did a lot of mistakes (we didn't saw this video nor research) and I want to tell you guys how it went and how accurate this video is :
1) The part where you will want to kill the wither in deep slave and at the bedrock level is actually better than killing it outside.
2) I really do not recommend using netherite, when I died wither exploded all my stuffs and my netherite armor is gone. I was so devastated..
3) Yes I was playing from my phone, the game got super laggy (we were at the surface, it was our first time fighting) to the point my brother turned the world to peaceful, now we're waiting to get a round 2 with the wither.
4) Armor is very important, be sure you're patient enough to enchant all the armors to be sure you're ready and has the lowest chance of dying as much as possible.

Also if you want the wither flower you can bring some animals with you and put them there when you're fighting the wither!!
