I would freak out if someone next to me was doing this on a plane.

This is straight the wim hoff method 10/10 do it daily and you’ll be able to handle both harsher environments and stressful encounters

This is such a life hack. About two years ago I started to feel a certain way that I usually do when I’m about to get really sick. I was so dead set on doing anything I could to prevent it because I knew I would be up all night for the next two weeks shitting myself and throwing up. So, I heated up some broccoli with garlic powder, locked myself in my room, and pulled up the Wim Hof breathing technique video (about 11 minutes). I ate the broccoli, and then proceeded to get comfy on my bed and breathe. I repeated it about 3 times until I felt like that “feeling” was gone, and let me tell you, it was gone. I don’t know what my body did that night but I felt so invincible. I know for sure if I had not done those breathing exercises I would’ve been miserably ill.

Flight attendant: “Sir can I get you a water or a snack?”
Andrew:👃😤

That would work because the sick person next to you would leave immediately and ask for a new seat

“25 deep breaths- in through the nose. Out through the mouth.
At the end of that, exhale all air and hold breath for 15-60 seconds
Don’t fight the impulse to breathe
Breathe in and then hold your breath for as long as you can until you feel the impulse to breathe.”

Ok, so I wasn't feeling very well. I just did the 25 in out breathing technique. I'm not sure if I'm better yet, but my cat just ran. 😂

This guy is nothing short than incredible.
Keep spreading the love, Dr Huberman.
You are so patient with us, the slow learners. Thank you!!!

This is quite similar to Wim hofs method of breathing and it’s amazing that a mountain man and a neuroscientist do the same thing.

That makes sense because every time I feel like I'm getting sick. I instinctively want to go on a little run or jog. Just to get my heart moving and my lungs moving and I've always cause that made me feel alive.

We were taught something similar in the Marines to combat anxiety and stress during combat.

As someone having panic attacks and anxiety problems, this is really useful.

Kind of like the Wim Hoff method but you don't have to hyperventilate like that and you would take 30 breaths, hold your breath longer, inhale once and hold again for 15 seconds, then repeat for as many sets as you like. 3 is good for novices, if it's your first time it can be tough so may e just try 1 or 2 if it's really uncomfortable.
