Great summary on a genuinely local topic of late, to think "vortex" would become part of ones daily lexicon is enough to make me bundle up. Great job Risk Bites Team!

Stood outside in crocs with no socks at 38f with windchill, I felt the effects of frost bite starting to set in at the hour mark. Took 20 minutes to slowly warm my toes and they’re still hurting.

Weather reports in Canada include a wind chill factor to give an equivalent risk temperature.

What if your wearing shorts bare legged in extreme cold and waiting 2 to 5mins for a bus and the breeze is very light it would take 30mins or more to get frostbite and plus I take cold showers to get my skin used to the cold.

I never want to live anywhere where I might get frostbite.
But with all this climate change I might have to move continents.
