I did read David Bernards book many years ago and for some reason it didn't convince me about the Oneness of God. But lately listening to you on this channel I have become more and more convinced so maybe God and Jesus in the spirit all three decided it was time for me to learn about this maybe I shouldn't say all three but the three-in-one there are three manifestations of the one true God whether they be located in heaven or on Earth or in both places at the same time and as you say God is a spirit not Spirit independent of himself but I do want to thank you for presenting it clear enough where I can understand it

Evidence overwhelmingly shows they were the earliest Christians. God bless you!

Acts 55-56 55 But he,  full of the Holy Spirit,  gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God,  and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he said,  “Behold,  I see the heavens opened,  and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

The emphasis on Jesus' name and the emphasis that Jesus is God also makes us Pentecostal as well...trinitarians imo dont seem to emphasize enough the fact that Jesus is the totality of God, and not a separate coequal person within the Godhead.

I remember as a child in the 70s stepping into a storefront Apostolic Church and never left the movement .

I’d really just rather be called a Biblical or New Testament Christian. But these identifiers are in vogue currently. God bless!

I agree with Martin Luther in this topic. The trinity explanation of God is not perfect, but it is the closest explanation.

Apostolics teach unique doctrine of God than normal Christianity . They believe Jesus is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. This doctrine is called Oneness, it teaches God is Jesus only, and jesus takes various roles, including Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. They deny that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct from one another. In other words apostolics believe jesus is his own Father. This is opposed to the traditional view that Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are distinct Persons in the Godhead. Apostolics are also known as “Jesus only” because according to them, Jesus is all there is to God. Outside of Jesus there is no deity. The deity of Christ according to apostolics is the Father not the Son. The Father is the divinity of Jesus while the Son is his humanity. While both apostolic and traditional Christians agree on monotheism, the deity of Christ, and the existence of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost- we disagree on whether Jesus is all three or are each of them distinct from each other. This is a fundamental disagreement, if apostolics are correct, then the historic Christian faith is false. Likewise, if traditional Christianity is true, oneness is false

I know many brethren in the PAW and fellowship with them. It's hard to believe that any Pastors in the PAW would believe in a Trinity and stay with the PAW for long. Unfortunately, there are also some former UPC and ALJC ministers who have turned Trinitarian and Unitarian Socinian as well. They remained in these Oneness Organizations for a while but had to leave when their Districts found out about their apostasy. Hence, is unfair to the PAW to think that they are weak on the Oneness doctrine because a few of their ministers backslid from the truth. I'm very sure that the leadership of the PAW would take actions if they knew for certain that any of their ministers turned Trinitarian.

Someone who has been lied to about this trinity and has thus adopted a very unstable view of God. It requires you to ignore a lot of scripture.

Polytheism is probably much simpler and much easier to understand. Promoting the holy spirit to be another god is probably not supported by the bible. In the bible, people pray to the father and or to jesus but nobody prays to the holy spirit. Not sure if current christians ever pray to the holy spirit as a personal god. Catholics seem to pray to mary and other saints. The catholic religion looks very polytheistic. Christianity is just one of many polytheistic religions found in the roman empire and polytheism was the norm in the roman empire. Christianity is just strange in not wanting to be called polytheistic altho in practice, it is polytheistic. As for the pentecostal religious experiences, these are as old as the africa religions. I heard pentecostalism started with african americans.

The doctrine of one God is the oldest doctrine known to man, it's as old as God himself. God the Father became his own Son.

I was just with a friend in Springfield, MO. He's been in the AOG archives, and they let him see an old folder on Andrew Urshan. He has photos of Bro. Urshan's AOG ordination along with the original 1917 application. I thought you'd find that interesting. Also, he has a photo of a file folder labeled "the new issue". I'm sure you can figure that out. :)

Churches would be be better off removing man made concepts or even descriptions from their Doctrine. Doctrines need to be limited to word for word scriptures. An example of this could be the Doctrine of the Identification of God and His Son. Part 1 of the doctrinal statement would consist of scriptures that God described himself with qualities and titles. Part 2 would consist of scriptures that Jesus described himself with qualities and titles. Part 3 would consist of scriptures that show God the Father identifying and communicating with Jesus. That would be next to a list of scriptures that show Jesus identifying God and communicating with his Father.
