I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for., ,

As a Malaysian I love to know what foreigners think of malaysia whether it is negative or positive. That's what Malaysia is like always wanna hear and progress

From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

As a Malaysian live in the UK, I totally agree with you. Here in the UK very rarely we see the lightning thunder storm. First time I came here 15 years ago I seen people walk in the rain without umbrellas because the rains here not as heavy like Malaysian rains. I can't wait to go back to Malaysia permanently soon.

I concur re: reasons 3 and 4. My fiancé and I spent a week in KL this April (loved it!), and there is no shortage of really good food, and yes, the waistline grew! To add insult to injury, the good people a Grab Food Delivery make it all too easy to indulge if its too hot or raining cats & dogs outside to go get a bite. For travel, coming from California, the most direct flight is SFO to Singapore which is 16 hours 35 minutes (non stop flight), then another 1 hour flight to KL. Throw in even a modest layover at Changi International and you literally need a whole day to get there or go home. In the end, it is worth it and we hope to come back next year. Lovely place and lovely people :-)

Your negative points are so cute. Surprisingly, as a malaysian am not offended at all. 😅

Saira ..your complaints are so sweet ...not that you'll suffer worries and sadness because of it.And your being 'willing' to do anything to get that PR..is reason enough for us to pray that you'll succeed sooner or later then we'll really think that you're our bosom sister!

In Malaysia most ppl can understand english but not all understand things like sense of humour, sarcasm, irony, etc. And when you say hate they really think you hate the country and will get offended. Another point to add to your list perhaps.

I am a retired teacher. I dont have e wallet or qr code for payment. I pay with debit card or cash. To fill petrol in my car I use credit card. For touch n go, I reload using cash at gas stations when I fill my car, thus knowing how much money I have before hitting the motoway. Cheers

Cashless transaction: 1. Solve a daily problem to find coins/change for restaurants. 2. Solve getting a reliable cashiers. Against theft/mismanagement of cash.

As a single person living in Sepang alone, eating out is way cheaper than cooking at home. However, if you do one week of food prep, yes, it will cut your food cost significantly.

I never had that issue with payment. I have been Malaysia twice. Recently in Kuala Lumpur for few days and Kota Kinabalu for 4 days and had never problems. But I don’t know I may have been lucky.

Cashless transactions have nothing to do with the Chinese influence. Malaysia is one of the leading pioneers in Biometrics and RFID systems long before the Chinese in China were allowed to have bank accounts. But the e-transaction business were first popularized by the toll payment systems of Malaysian highways such as SmartTag, TnGo, RFID etc before it spread to other businesses
